In 1984 Evelyn Ganas opened a trade magazine for the residential building industry in Central PA. 

This magazine was published under the title of Builder/Architect Magazine for Central PA.  The parent company was owned by Bob Loveridge from Phoenix, Arizona.

A builder, remodeler, or vendor was featured on the cover. Evelyn interviewed the owner/manager of the cover story company and either wrote the story or had it written by another author. 

The projects the cover story company chose to show in the story were professionally photographed and included as well.

Local editorial from an architect, accountant, attorney or other source affiliated with the building industry in the area was included. Often events of the local Home Builders Associations in Harrisburg, York, Lancaster and Chambersburg were included.

In 1989, Evelyn added the Philadelphia Builder/Architect Magazine to her publishing schedule, while still continuing to publish the Central PA edition. In 1990 Dimitri Ganas started to photograph the Philadelphia issue. 

Evelyn continued to publish the Philadelphia issue until 1993.  In 1990 Evelyn also added the Baltimore Builder/Architect to the publishing schedule and continued to publish it for the next 13 years. Dimitri Ganas also photographed the Builder/Architect Magazine for Baltimore the entire time that Evelyn published it. In 1999 Dimtiri Ganas took over the photography of the Central PA Builder/Architect Magazine and continued to photograph that edition until Evelyn resigned as a Builder/Architect Magazine publisher in December 2009.  Bob Loveridge, the founder of the Builder/Architect Magazine sold the company in 2000.  After that time it was managed by several different entities.

In the beginning of 2010 Evelyn and Dimitri, together formed a new company Ganas Publishing, LLC and started a new publication “Builders & Associates Magazine” serving the residential and commercial building industry in Central PA.  Evelyn and Dimitri felt the need to continue to serve loyal clients in the industry in the manner that they were accustomed to and to expand the new publication to also serve the commercial building industry in Central PA and to add the Berks County back into the mailing, as they had previously been included for some years past, but not in recent years.
